Rich Jacobson, is a Register Representative, an Investment Advisor Representative and a Registered Principal with United Planners. Rich is also insurance licensed for Life, Health and Disability with the state of California (0D78538).

Rich began his career in 1982 as an economist and has since then launched several successful businesses, both in and out of finance. Rich received his U.S. securities license in 2003 and started Jacobson Wealth Management, Inc. in 2007.

Rich has his Bachelor of Science degree from McGill University in Montreal, Canada and a Master's Degree in economics and policy analysis from the University of Washington, Seattle, Washington. He is Series 7, 66 and 24 licensed. Additionally, Rich has successfully passed the rigorous curriculum and testing to achieve the status of a Certified Financial planner™ professional.  In 2013, Rich also achieved the Certified Wealth Strategist® designation, an advanced program of study focusing on wealth management for high net worth individuals. In 2016, Rich studied for and obtained his Certified College Planning Specialist (CCPS®) designation.

Rich has a passion for lifelong learning and personal development, and thrives on sharing these attributes with clients similarly inclined. He is married and resides in Napa, CA.  Rich has two teenage children and in his spare time he loves reading non-fiction, fitness, cycling, running, tennis and horticulture.
