Tom began working as an Investment Advisor after retiring from the Napa Sheriff’s Office where he held the position of Lieutenant, after 29 years of public service. During his career, he attended the Los Angeles Police Department’s West Point Leadership Program, and completed the Leadership Napa Valley Course (Class of 26). Tom served as a member of Napa County’s Deferred Compensation Board for 12 years. As a board member, and acting chair, he carried out fiduciary duties for Napa County’s supplemental retirement plans. Since 2018, these plan assets have been in excess of 80 million dollars. While serving as a board member, Tom realized that he had a passion and interest for finance, and with Rich Jacobson’s (Founder of Jacobson Wealth Management) encouragement, he decided to pursue a career where he could assist others in achieving their financial goals.
Tom has a Bachelor or Arts degree from the State University of New York (at Oswego), and a Master’s Degree in Public Administration from the University of South Dakota. Tom possesses the Series 7 (Registered Representative), and Series 66 (Investment Advisor Representative) designations, as well as his Life, Health and Accident license.
Tom is married to his wife, CC and lives in Napa, Ca. He has two children, and enjoys camping, fishing, and participating in outdoor activities with his family. Tom has been coaching young athletes involved in team sports in Napa County for the past 15 years. He is currently one of the assistant lacrosse coaches for Vintage High School. When time permits, he completes home projects, is an avid reader, enjoys fitness activities and whenever he gets a chance to go golfing!
